Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Bourne, Lincolnshire. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. You may assist with daily activities and provide emotional support as part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with learning disabilities in daily activities and personal care as appropriate.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement person-centred support plans.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all service users.
What Weβre Looking For (Qualifications)

- Drivers are preferred, and you must be able to do sleep-ins when required.
Contract Options
- Full-time: 37.5 hours
- Part-time: 20 hours
Shift Times
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life. Shifts will include weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. For sleep-ins you receive an enhanced flat rate payment of Β£63.70. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
