Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Tullyrush (which is located 5 miles outside of Omagh), Omagh.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.
What we're looking for:
- Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.).
- You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting social groups & activities.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. showering and using the bathroom.
Contract options:
- Full-time: 37.5 hrs - we have 3 full-time contracts available.
- Shift times: All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
- Days: shifts are normally 12 hours and start between 7am and 9am.
- Waking Nights: 9.00pm - 9.00am.
