We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Easingwold on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours a week). Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

We aim to grow our team of dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic support workers to enable the individuals we support to live the lives they choose. If you enjoy supporting someone with activities, you might be suited for our 1:1 support service, where you'll support a young man with a different activity each week, such as football, swimming, or exploring with his National Trust tickets. This gentleman has endless energy and a passion for fun; the support worker should match or surpass his enthusiasm.

Alternatively, if you're interested in supporting individuals to develop life skills for independent living, we have a service for you. Supporting our lovely ladies in their homes, you'll assist with daily activities, including helping in the kitchen or supporting them during outings like coffee trips. Small acts can mean a lot to those wanting to live as independently as possible.

Some individuals may only require verbal prompts for personal care, while others may need more hands-on support. Full training and shadowing will be provided for each service.

We understand the importance of flexibility. While shifts vary depending on the service, they generally start from 7:00 am or 9:00 am and end between 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm, often split into two shifts. Some roles include sleep-in or waking night shifts, with an enhanced flat rate of £63.70 for sleep-in shifts (non-contractual).

As a Support Worker, you will provide outstanding support to help individuals live comfortable, dignified, and happy lives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting independence with budgeting, bill payments, housework, appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
  • Building relationships and supporting understanding of the world around them.
  • Promoting community and social inclusion through access to local events and activities.
  • Assisting with personal care, including prompting medication and helping with bathing or bathroom needs; not all roles involve high levels of personal care.

All roles require an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
