Do you have a passion for supporting people with a learning disability to achieve their employment goals? We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated Employment Caseworker to join our Employ Me team, delivering high-quality, person-centred employment support to people with a learning disability, across Liverpool and Greater Manchester. This is a full time, fixed term position until April 2027.
About the Programme
As part of this programme, you will work alongside our retail team to support volunteers from Mencap charity shops with a learning disability, helping them to develop skills, build confidence and progress into their next steps whether that’s paid work, further volunteering or training opportunities. This role is part of a new project generously supported by Chopstix, designed to increase access to meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities for people facing barriers to work. You will work closely with participants, employers, families and local stakeholders to deliver a high-impact programme that creates real and lasting change.
What You Will Do
- Manage a caseload of participants (retail volunteers with a learning disability), providing tailored, person-centred employment support
- Deliver vocational profiling, job-matching and ongoing in-work support
- Build and maintain strong employer partnerships across Liverpool & Greater Manchester, including with twinned Chopstix restaurants
- Generate referrals through local networks, community organisations and Jobcentre Plus
- Deliver employability workshops and 1:1 interventions
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, progress tracking and reporting
