We are recruiting for a Me Time Programme Coordinator, this position is a permanent contract for 37.5 hours per week, covering the Nottingham area.

Me Time is Mencap's social inclusion, leisure, and community-based programme, supporting adults with a learning disability to live life to the full, with person-centred, high quality, community inclusive support, grounded in Mencap's values and enabled by a highly motivated and capable team.

As Programme Coordinator you will lead colleagues in designing and delivering good quality Me Time support, playing a key role in planning, monitoring and reviewing community opportunities, ensuring we are always listening to and being led by the evidence and lived experience of people with a learning disability.

  • Building a strengths-based approach to further develop skills and confidence of those being supported, expanding networks, and being fully included in their local community.
  • People with a learning disability steer the activities and are represented at all levels with Me Time through coproduction opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, maintaining strong and effective partnerships with local partners, commissioners and purchasers of Me Time.
  • Ensure that people with a learning disability can access local assets in the community and increase visibility and inclusion in local planning and developments.
  • The Me Time model is person centred and focused on improving quality of life for the people being supported, as well as providing pathways to other opportunities, for example volunteering and employment.
  • Lead and work in partnership with the community to maximise the opportunities for people we support and make the community the best place to live.

As a Me Time Programme Coordinator you will:

  • Be responsible for planning and implementing new initiatives, aiming to assist people with a learning disability to live independent and fulfilling lives.
  • Make connections with local community networks, mapping local assets.
  • Ensure people can be part of and make important contributions to their local communities.
  • Lead on all aspects of delivery in the local area.
  • Manage significant budget and resources.
  • Oversee risk management, ensuring good practice in safeguarding and avoidance of harm.
  • Manage the local hubs in Nottingham and build community connections to form and thrive and build strong networks with local businesses and providers.
  • Be aspirational, flexible, and work with others to support people to progress in ways they want to.
  • Monitor the delivery of the contracts and prepare quarterly reports and Key Performance Indicators for the Local Authority or Funders.
  • Work collaboratively with other Me Time programmes across the country to share best practice and drive quality and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in Contract/Programme Performance Management.
  • Act as a Quality Assurer.
  • Serve as a Community Ambassador and Liaison.
  • Function as a Community and Partnership Connector.
  • Gather feedback and Monitor Impact.
  • Manage Properties and Community Spaces.
