Then we may have the role for you at Mencap Training Academy. Have you had teaching assistant experience? Or you may have supported people in the workplace as a job coach. If you'd like to develop these skills further this job may be for you.
We're seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Skills Coaches (job coaching & classroom support) to join our dynamic team in the Black Country on a full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time, permanent basis. In this crucial role, you'll be the driving force behind our employability programs, including Supported Internships, providing tailored support to learners with SEND. Do you want to see what we do? You will be accountable for learner progression in the workplace and achieving outcomes for the learner. You will deliver support in various ways; 1-1 job coaching, working with learners to develop employability skills and embed English and Math learning in the workplace. You will also support learning during classroom settings. The role aims to support people to learn the skills they need to go on and achieve sustained paid employment.
What You'll Need (Essential):
- Proven experience supporting individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve targets.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices.
- A good knowledge of the Educational and SEN sectors.
- GCSE English & Maths (A-C/9-4 or equivalent).
- Proficient ICT skills.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.
