Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking Support Workers to join our team in Newark. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, working with a diverse group of people with unique abilities and needs. You will assist with daily activities and provide emotional support as part of a vital role in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activities for individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships.
  • Support tasks across various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of individuals in care.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • This role requires you to be a driver.

Contract and Schedule

  • Contract options: Part-time (flexible hours based on availability).
  • Shift times: All services are 24-hour care. Rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to support personal and social life.
  • Days: Between 07:00-22:00
  • Waking Nights: 22:00-07:00
  • Sleep-in option available with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
  • All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
