You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.

About our Service: The service is based at a residential home supporting seven adults with daily living. Some of our residents require full 1:1 support with their daily needs, but others just need some guidance with everyday tasks. What does a Support Worker do? As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life:

  • Supporting people to live independently: budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Relationship building: supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion: supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Personal care: helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Shift times: We provide support 24-hours, 7 days a week. The usual shifts are 07:00 - 14:30 and 14:00 - 21:30 with the opportunity to also cover the waking night shift between 21:15 - 07:15. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your personal and social life!
