Join us at Mencap as our Internal Comms and Engagement Officer and help shape how we connect with our colleagues across the organisation.

The role is available from 1 April. It’s 3 days (22.5 hours per week) as part of a job share and you can work from anywhere. You may need to travel to various locations across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland as and when needed. We will consider flexible working if requested.

As our Internal Comms and Engagement Officer, you’ll play a vital role in connecting colleagues to Mencap’s vision and values. You’ll lead on key internal communication channels and engagement forums, ensuring our people receive clear, accessible, and inspiring information.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and manage internal communication channels and colleague engagement forums
  • Create and curate engaging content from across the organisation
  • Support and deliver communication and engagement plans for key projects and teams
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Mencap to maintain trust and credibility
  • Champion innovation, bringing fresh ideas to improve how we communicate and engage
