Mencap is looking for an exceptional Director of Communications and Brand, a strategic, creative, and values‑driven leader ready to take our communications to the next level. This role is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent role. We’re offering flexibility as to where this role is based.

In this pivotal role, you’ll:

  • Lead Mencap’s organisation‑wide communications vision, shaping a bold, influential, and consistent voice.
  • Position Mencap as the leading organisation championing people with a learning disability.
  • Drive high‑impact campaigns that influence public attitudes and policy change.
  • Lead teams responsible for media relations, digital channels, social media, brand identity, and strategic communications.
  • Champion innovation, accessibility, inclusion, and data‑driven decision‑making across all communications work.
  • Strengthen Mencap’s reputation, increase visibility, and amplify the voices of people with a learning disability.

This is a role where your leadership will directly shape how the world sees and understands people with a learning disability.
