We are excited to be recruiting for a Health and Impact Officer to join our Quality Team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed-term contract until August. This role reports directly to the Head of Safeguarding and Compliance. It is flexible with working where is best for you, but there is an expectation that you will travel nationwide (including overnight stays) to meet the needs of Mencap.
What will you do as a Health and Impact Officer?
- Lead on the design and delivery of our health improvement project, ensuring it aligns with national priorities and best practices.
- Work with colleagues across our Personal Support services, as well as external health specialists.
- Design and implement an impact assessment plan to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain a central health data repository so we have accurate baseline health information for the people we support.
- Support colleagues and the people we support to plan reasonable adjustments for health appointments, annual health checks and screening.
- Provide guidance on health support plans, health action plans and health passports.
