Relief Support Workers wanted by Mencap in Frome, Somerset. You will work with individuals with learning disabilities to make a real difference, supporting diverse needs and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support.
  • Build meaningful relationships with people supported and maintain a compassionate, person-centred approach.
  • Follow duty rosters and deliver high-quality care in line with service requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Driver required.

Contract Options

  • Relief: flexible hours based on availability.

Shift Times

  • All services are 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
  • Days: 07:00–22:00
  • Sleep-ins: 22:00–07:00 (enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70)

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

Important information for applicants: this position is not suitable for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa, or switching sponsorship to a new employer if you already hold a Skilled Worker Visa. The role does not meet the minimum salary threshold for sponsorship as set by UKVI.
