Job Description:

Job Advert

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Rochdale. Please note that due to the needs of the people we support, this post is only open to Female applicants. Both ladies have their own cars, and these are used daily, so a confident driver is required.

This is a busy house with various activities. There are two ladies living at this property, who are very different but live together well.

We both like music and socialising. One lady enjoys being out daily, walking (short walks for health), going to shows, pantomimes, etc., with loud and lively environments. She also enjoys visiting coffee shops and cafes to watch people.

The other lady prefers more relaxed days, with short walks, drives, social activities, and then returning home.

Both have health conditions requiring daily monitoring and recording.

You will need to be resilient, caring, willing to try different activities, and have a positive attitude. Ability to work well within a team and independently is essential.

What we\’re looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

This role requires you to be a driver with a full UK Driving Licence (manual vehicles) and able to drive PWS Motability vehicles.

  • Sleep-in shifts: 23:30-07:00, 07:00-10:00

Sleep-in shifts include an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.

Benefits:
