Job Advert We are looking for a Female Support Worker to join our Service based in Waterlooville on a permanent and Part time basis (30 hours a week). Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays. You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual. Please apply early as the advert may close early. About our Service We are looking for a female member of staff to support 4 ladies who live in the Waterlooville area. This is a 24 hour supported living service. At present there are four ladies age between 30-40 years old. There are various shifts, including every other weekend and sleep-ins, which are to be covered over a 24 hour period, 7 days a week. We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, honest person to join and are able to facilitate community inclusion. You will need to support with finances, cooking, cleaning and general daily living skills. The ladies like to be supported in their community carrying out activities such as swimming, bowling, cinema, going to theme parks, concerts, social clubs and generally having fun. What does a Support Worker do? As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality. Typical responsibilities may include: Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals. Excellent communication skills and Relationship building – supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships. Community & Social Inclusion – supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality. Personal care – helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
