Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Brighton. We have permanent full-time and part-time positions available (37.5 hours per week). Holding a full UK driving licence is essential for this role, as the people we support have their own cars and you need to be comfortable driving them to various destinations, ensuring they can access all the places they wish to go.

At our Brighton service, we have one service where three people share their home, and we also support three people who live in the community. You will provide high-quality, flexible support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, with complex communication needs. Your role is to help people live as independently as possible and to enjoy a great life.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options:

  • Full time: 37.5 hours a week
  • Shift times: All our services are 24-hour care. We prepare the rotas at least four weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
  • Days: Between 07:00-22:00
  • There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.

*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
