Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Crymych, Pembroke. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

We support a young lady who loves getting out and about and is able to do this whenever they choose, as they have their own car.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • This role requires you to be a driver of a manual Car.

Contract options

  • Part-time: 24 Hours

Shift Times

  • All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
  • Days: Between 09:00-21:00
  • Sleep in's 21:00-09:00
  • Sleep-in, where you will receive an enhanced flat-rate payment of £63.70.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. Due to the nature of this service, we are seeking female applicants only. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.

Mencap holds a Home Office sponsorship licence; however, due to current restrictions on our allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
