Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Waking Night Support Workers to join our incredible team in Southend. This role is for 36 hours per week. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

This role will involve providing support during the night to adults with a learning disability. Duties will include:

  • Supporting with personal care
  • Administering medication
  • Moving and handling using hoists and wheelchairs
  • Checking on general well-being
  • Carrying out laundry tasks
  • Some cleaning tasks throughout the night

Typical shifts are for 10 hours (10:00 pm to 08:00 am or 9:30 pm to 7:30 am). We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to making a difference to people with learning disabilities. This is a challenging role; however, it is also tremendously rewarding!

In addition to this, you will be supported with our ongoing award-winning training to enhance your career. An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate. Offer subject to suitable references.
