We are looking for a talented Community Advocacy Worker to join our team in Northern Ireland.

What you will do

You will assist the Senior Community Advocacy worker to deliver advocacy support services for the “Right Support Right Time” programme in partnership with Inspire Wellbeing. You will provide one to one and group advocacy support to individuals with a learning disability, empowering them to resolve their issues, have their voices heard and their rights safeguarded.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to break down complex information and present it in an accessible way.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within and outside an organisation.
  • Ability to produce written reports, and use Excel to manage and summarise data.
  • Ability to develop a positive rapport with others and work collaboratively.

Your experience

  • Experience of collaborating with a variety of stakeholders through strong verbal and written communication.
  • Experience of delivering one to one and group setting issue-based advocacy support.
  • Experience of working with groups of people who may be vulnerable.
