As a carer you will be assisting a lady with spinal injury. She is wheelchair dependent, living independently in her own home with her children. You will be required to work on a rota basis including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in all aspects of personal care, including washing, bathing, and continence care.
- General domestic duties, such as preparing meals and assisting at meal times.
- Driving the lady's adapted vehicle and ensuring safe transport.
- Providing constant reassurance and guidance throughout the day.
- Supporting the lady and her family with a caring, friendly approach.
Candidate Requirements
- Female carer required.
- Must have a full clean driving licence and own car to drive the lady's adapted vehicle.
- Reliable and patient, with a friendly approach.
- Experience in care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- DBS disclosure required; the expense will be covered by the employer.
- Ability to drive under all conditions.
Pay & Benefits
- £14-£15 per hour, with enhancements for bank holidays.
- Mileage allowance of £0.25 per mile.
- 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
- Mileage expense covered by the employer for DBS.
Shifts
- Full/part time positions.
- Shifts available on days and occasional nights.
