IRW is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Payables Officer’ to join its established Finance Division. The purpose of the role is to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors (internal & external), national and international; performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Demonstrable track record of processing a high volume of transactions.
- A strong customer service focus, and the ability to build effective working relationships with employees and external stakeholders/suppliers.
- Expense‑claim processing experience, knowledge and understanding.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to meet deadlines.
- High level of computer literacy, experience using spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Computerised accounting payables experience, preferably Microsoft AX.
- High attention to detail and an orderly approach to processing a high volume of transactions in a fast‑paced environment.
- A good level of general knowledge and awareness of topical financial issues.
- Proven understanding of accounting principles and concepts (e.g. accounting for payables).
- General Knowledge of Charities and services provided.
- Ability to prepare, analyse and verify routine financial documents and reports.
- Ability to show confidence in communicating with others.
- A good level of literacy skills.
- The ability to understand financial information and manipulate data.
