The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.
As a General Assistant, you will check, maintain and repair our rental equipment and accessories. You will be required to carry out general maintenance both on and off site, assisting in keeping the yard and workshop clean and tidy. Driving various company vehicles along with towing will be a requirement of the role. Full training will be provided on all aspects of the role. Please note that all employees complete our screening process which includes a criminal check.
Responsibilities
- General maintenance duties
- General labouring duties
- Maintaining rental equipment and accessories
- Keeping the yard and workshop areas clean and tidy
- Maintaining, cleaning and general repairs on vehicles
- Assist with refurbishing equipment and vehicles
- Assist with general building work
- Assist with mechanical repairs
- Assist with generator service
- Sorting, cleaning and repairs of cable
- Assisting on site installs/de-installs & servicing
- Driving company vehicles as the business necessitates
- Towing small trailers (once trained)
- Forklift truck driving (once trained)
- Working as part of our small team on a shift rota system
Hours: Rolling Shift Pattern of 5 days on 3 days off, average 39.5 hrs per week. Shift is 7.30am to 5pm (plus call out). Working weekends and bank holidays is a requirement.
Qualifications
- You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team and be physically fit.
- You must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
