Volunteer Film Pitch & Networking Event Assistant

Memorisica is an independent film and TV production collective, bringing together award-winning talent to share production resources and create original content. Our focus on underserved, diverse entry-level talent taps directly into the industry challenges outlined by the British Film Institute.

Our award-winning team, whose British comedy caper, Bricked Up , captivated the North West, are now rebelling against petty parking fines with FINED short film, blending absurdist humour with a scathing critique of systemic indifference.

Role Overview

We\’re looking for Volunteer Event Assistants to join our Investor Relations team for a special pitching and networking event. You\’ll help organise the event that introduces our upcoming short film to industry professionals (think commissioners, supporters, and potential backers) through a pitch, Q&A, and networking mixer. This hands-on role is a fantastic way to build your events portfolio and get front-row insight into how feature-length productions come together in a low-pressure enviroment.

Location: Manchester Area, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

What You\’ll Do

Working alongside the team, you’ll help to:

Scout & secure a venue that fits our budget and technical needs

Draft the event schedule, from the film pitch through to Q&A and networking

Personalise invitations and manage RSVPs via email and industry contacts

Send targeted reminders and confirmations as the event date approaches

Coordinate branded materials (banners, signage, programs, handouts) with printers and designers

Engage the audience: encourage questions, facilitate introductions, and gather feedback
