Employment Details: Full Time Night Position. Compensation Range: $35.10 to $52.64.
Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Requires prioritisation and critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Complies with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.
- Uses evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Practices according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviours to develop therapeutic relationships and engage in patient and family teaching as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Actively contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies.
- Follows all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver's license).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
- Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
Education, Licensure, and Certification Required:
- Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or be obtained within six (6) months of hire).
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).
- Current STABLE certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred:
- Two (2) years hospital nursing experience.
- One (1) year Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing experience.
