This is a PRN position.
Compensation Range: $38.62 to $57.93 per hour.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel; may precept student nurses and new hires.
- Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Makes timely decisions and acts in a fast‑paced environment.
- Partners with the healthcare consumer to implement a patient‑centered plan of care.
- Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships.
- Uses evidence‑based interventions and strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver’s license).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
- Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
Education, Licensure, and Certification
- Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety days of hire).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (be obtained within six months of hire).
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification (or be obtained within one year of hire).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Two (2) years of hospital nursing experience.
- Previous Med/Surg experience.
