Established in London in 1984, Memo Fashions Ltd is a premium apparel manufacturing partner to brands across the globe. We combine craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability to turn fashion concepts into exceptional garments from first sketch to final stitch. We are looking for a Junior Designer to join our growing design team, specialising in denim, casualwear and wovens. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative designer with at least 2 years’ experience working within a supplier environment, designing for the UK fashion market.

Working closely with the senior designer, suppliers and factories, you will support the development of commercial, trend‑led ranges from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and developing denim, casual and woven ranges for UK high street and online retailers
  • Create CADs, technical sketches and design packs for sampling and production
  • Support trend, fabric, wash and trim research relevant to the UK market
  • Work closely with overseas suppliers and factories to develop styles and samples
  • Review samples and assist with comments on fit, wash and construction
  • Help build commercially focused ranges aligned to customer profiles and price points
  • Maintain design files, trackers and support the critical path
Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a junior design role
  • Previous experience working within a supplier or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of the UK fashion market
  • Good knowledge of denim (washes, fits, finishes) as well as casual and woven garments
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Organised, detail‑oriented and able to work to deadlines
  • Confident communicator with a proactive and positive attitude
Desirable
  • Experience working with UK high street or online retailers
  • Basic understanding of fitting and garment construction
