We’re partnering with a leading professional membership organisation to recruit an experienced and commercially minded Membership Product Leader to shape and evolve a high-impact membership portfolio during an exciting period of transformation.
This is not a traditional "head of membership" role. The organisation is looking for someone who combines expertise in professional membership with strong product leadership capability, someone who understands how membership models work, how they need to evolve, and crucially, how to drive ideas through into delivery and measurable impact.
You’ll play a lead role in designing and evolving membership categories, pathways, designations and value propositions to ensure the organisation remains commercially relevant, future-focused and genuinely member-centric. This role requires someone who can challenge traditional thinking around membership and help redefine what modern professional membership should look like in the future.
Key areas of focus include:
- Designing and refreshing membership categories and progression pathways
- Leading product innovation and portfolio transformation initiatives
- Managing the full product lifecycle from concept through to launch and live performance
- Using market insight, customer understanding and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Leading ideation workshops, sprints and collaborative product development processes
- Working cross-functionally to deliver impactful go-to-market plans
- Managing product performance, budgets and portfolio KPIs
- Leading and developing a high-performing product team
- Driving delivery at pace across a complex matrix organisation
We’re particularly interested in candidates who:
- Have strong experience within professional bodies, membership organisations or regulated environments
- Understand membership propositions, designations and progression frameworks
- Bring strong product discipline alongside strategic and commercial thinking
- Can move beyond diagnosing problems and confidently lead solutions through implementation
- Have experience taking products from early concept through to launch and ongoing optimisation
- Are confident influencing senior stakeholders and bringing people together around innovation and change
- Have experience leading teams while operating collaboratively across multiple departments
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of membership within a highly respected organisation that is ambitious about innovation, relevance and long-term member value.
