Shape the future of a newly unified professional body. The College of Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine (CSEM) is entering an exciting new chapter, bringing together two established organisations into one unified voice for the sector. This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a central role in building a high-performing, modern organisation, driving operational excellence, strengthening governance, and delivering a seamless member experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead operational strategy, governance and organisational performance
- Oversee systems (CRM, website, data platforms) and drive digital improvement
- Ensure high-quality, efficient membership services
- Provide strategic oversight of communications and brand
- Manage suppliers, contracts and key partnerships
- Lead risk, compliance (including GDPR) and Board reporting
- Develop and lead Operations, Membership and Communications teams
- Drive organisational change, integration and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
- Senior experience in operations and/or governance (membership body, charity or similar)
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance
- Experience with CRM systems and membership services
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection
CSEM offers a flexible, hybrid working environment with teams based across Edinburgh and Doncaster, and UK-wide engagement. Travel expenses are covered.
