Overview
Location: Hybrid (3 days p/w from Central London office)
An established membership-based organisation is seeking an experienced Membership Manager to lead the development, growth and retention of its organisational member base. This is a pivotal role focused on delivering an exceptional end-to-end membership experience while strengthening engagement and long-term value.
Reporting to a senior commercial lead, you will oversee the full member journey and play a key role in shaping how both organisational members and their individual users engage with the organisation. Being proactive, you will offer new ideas and approaches to membership engagement and recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Delivering a high-quality, end-to-end membership experience for organisational members, including onboarding, retention and renewal
- Acting as the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, while supporting engagement across multiple employee stakeholders
- Proactively engaging with members to gather feedback, address issues and improve satisfaction and loyalty at both organisational and user level
- Supporting and implementing membership acquisition and retention initiatives
- Building strong, trusted relationships and fostering a sense of community among member organisations and their employee users
- Maintaining accurate membership records using a CRM system and producing clear, regular reports
- Analysing membership data to identify trends, insights and opportunities for improvement
- Managing timely and accurate invoicing related to membership
- Collaborating with colleagues across teams to enhance the overall member experience
About you
You will have proven experience in membership management within a membership organisation, trade body or professional association, alongside a strong customer service background. You are an excellent communicator, confident working with a range of stakeholders, and comfortable analysing data to inform decisions. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you are proactive, solution-focused and motivated by delivering outstanding member experiences whilst working autonomously (sole membership focused person in the organisation).
