Help shape the future of Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine in the UK. CSEM is approaching a defining moment as the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine and the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine come together to create a single, unified College. As part of this exciting transition, CSEM is looking to appoint two Lay Trustees to join its Board, providing independent insight, constructive challenge and expertise as the organisation develops its strategy, governance and long-term future.

We are particularly interested in hearing from senior candidates with expertise in:

  • Legal and Governance
  • Finance and Investment

Alongside this expertise we are also seeking candidates who can demonstrate strong strategic judgement, professional credibility, excellent relationship-building skills and a commitment to CSEM’s purpose. This is an opportunity to contribute at Board level during a significant period of change, helping CSEM strengthen professional standards, support its members and pursue its overarching vision to improve the health of the nation through physical activity.

Time commitment: Trustees are expected to attend at least four Board meetings each year, held virtually or in person, alongside preparation, strategic discussions and occasional College activities.
