With close to 8,000 individual members across several membership grades, the organisation offers accreditation and professional development schemes for professionals in a variety of sectors. They also run courses, events and training for the public as well as members. The position is responsible for the management of three staff in the policy and external affairs team, working closely with the events, membership, professional standards and qualifications teams. We are seeking candidates who are AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY and with the skills and ability to build up the external affairs side of the business (communicating with politicians, MPs, Westminster connections), setting up processes almost from scratch. You will be able to lead a team whilst analysing what structural improvements can be made further ahead. The role has a good chance of converting to permanent after 6-12 months. Travel will be required for various events/discussions, to Westminster, in other parts of England, and rarely to Wales or Northern Ireland.
