Are you a people-first leader with a track record of driving cultural and organisational change? We’re looking for an Interim Head of People and Organisational Development to join a mission-driven non-profit financial association at a pivotal time.

You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering the People & OD strategy, embedding values-led leadership, and building a high-performance culture that supports staff to thrive. This is a strategic but hands-on leadership role. You’ll manage a small, dedicated team and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful change and organisational effectiveness. From employee engagement and policy development to strategic workforce planning and EDI initiatives, your work will make a measurable impact across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the implementation of a progressive People and OD strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Leading initiatives that enhance employee experience, engagement, and performance.
  • Developing and refining people policies to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
  • Providing expert advice on complex employee relations issues.
  • Coaching and empowering managers and leaders to build a supportive, inclusive culture.
  • Leading the People Committee workplan and reporting to Executive level.

Experience we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a similar Head of People/OD role, ideally during a period of transformation.
  • Chartered CIPD membership and broad HR generalist knowledge.
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • A passion for equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to use data to inform strategic decision-making.
