Head of Policy
Permanent, Full-time
Hybrid from London or Remote with travel
Salary: £62K – £65K
We are working with a recognised non-profit membership association who are seeking two Head of Policy candidates in distinctive fields. Our client has a big impact on national policy in a pivotal UK sector, supporting its members views.
The organisation works within four different yet united industries. One of the roles is focused on managing the policy of a specific industry, whilst the other leads on a particular policy theme across all four industries. Both roles lead on operational delivery whilst working with the wider team on strategic plans.
Talking with, and listening to members, is an integral part of the role – owning the relevant membership base or constituency. High quality reports are expected, developing policy proposals and positions that will shape government and stakeholder thinking with members in mind. Presentations at company events and external conferences will be semi-regular, travelling around the country to represent the association.
Our client is seeking candidates with higher level thinking and strategic thought, strong line management experience, and ideally, experience representing members or working groups. Providing oversight of councils and the ability to deliver to budget.
