The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Lead for Scotland (Remote, with some travel required) Department: Membership promoting inclusion, strengthening research and innovation and ensuring the value of physics is widely understood. The Lead for Scotland will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the IOP’s work across Scotland, ensuring programmes, policy engagement, and community initiatives reflect the country’s unique opportunities and challenges.

You will:

  • Lead and inspire a team delivering impactful education, policy and engagement work.
  • Build relationships with government, industry, academia and community partners.
  • Champion the voice of the Scottish physics community within IOP decision-making.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of the IOP’s business plan for Scotland.
  • Represent the IOP as a credible and influential voice in public, policy, and media discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and the Scottish Committee to align national priorities with IOP’s wider strategy.
