Our client, a respected small professional membership organisation, is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an events professional with a background in the professional membership, charity or not-for-profit sector, where you'll have experience delivering events for members, delegates and wider stakeholder communities.
You'll be responsible for planning and delivering a diverse programme of high-quality events, including conferences, networking events, webinars and a flagship awards ceremony. Alongside exceptional event delivery, you'll bring a commercial mindset, identifying opportunities to secure sponsorship, develop strategic partnerships and generate revenue to support a successful events programme.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished event manager who understands the needs of member-focused audiences and can balance outstanding delegate experiences with commercial objectives.
Key requirements:- Proven experience delivering conferences, exhibitions, networking events and/or awards events.
- Background within a professional membership body, association, charity or other not-for-profit organisation.
- Experience delivering events for member and delegate audiences, with a strong understanding of stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrable success in securing sponsorship, developing partnerships or generating commercial income through events.
- Excellent project management, budgeting and supplier management skills.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Awards event experience would be highly advantageous.
