Play a leading role in shaping the future of sport and exercise medicine. The College of Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine (CSEM) is at a pivotal point in its evolution, uniting expertise to strengthen its national influence and impact across the sector.
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll lead the College’s professional activities, spanning education, exams, standards and workforce development, and play a key role in shaping the future of the specialty at a national level.
Key responsibilities:- Lead strategy and delivery across education, exams, standards, accreditation and Moving Medicine
- Drive specialty development, workforce planning and national policy influence
- Oversee high-quality, compliant and innovative professional services
- Manage senior stakeholders across NHS, government and Royal College networks
- Lead major programmes, partnerships and service development initiatives
- Hold budget responsibility and oversee performance, risk and governance reporting
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across professional activity functions
- Senior leadership experience in healthcare, education, professional bodies or similar
- Strong experience in strategy, policy influence and complex programme delivery
- Understanding of medical education, accreditation and professional standards
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders nationally
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
CSEM offers a flexible, hybrid working environment with teams based across Edinburgh and Doncaster, and UK-wide engagement. Travel expenses are covered.
