The College of Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine (CSEM) is entering an exciting new chapter, bringing together two established organisations into one unified voice for the sector. This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment.
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a central role in building a high-performing, modern organisation, driving operational excellence, strengthening governance, and delivering a seamless member experience.
Key responsibilities- Lead operational strategy, governance and organisational performance
- Oversee systems (CRM, website, data platforms) and drive digital improvement
- Provide strategic oversight of communications and brand
- Manage suppliers, contracts and key partnerships
- Lead risk, compliance (including GDPR) and Board reporting
- Develop and lead Operations, Membership and Communications teams
- Drive organisational change, integration and continuous improvement
- Senior experience in operations and/or governance (membership body, charity or similar)
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance
- Experience with CRM systems and membership services
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection
CSEM offers a flexible, hybrid working environment with teams based across Edinburgh and Doncaster, and UK-wide engagement. Travel expenses are covered.
