Membership Bespoke is supporting a leading UK membership organisation within the healthcare sector to appoint a Policy & Public Affairs Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a policy professional who wants to play a key role in developing policy positions, monitoring political and healthcare developments and supporting an organisation’s influencing agenda.

Working closely with the Head of Policy & Public Affairs, you will:

  • Research and analysecurrent and emerging policy issues and assess their implications for members.
  • Lead and support the development ofevidence-based policy positions that reflect members’ interests.
  • Prepare high-qualitybriefings, reports, consultation responses and committee papers .
  • Support the delivery of policy and public affairs campaigns.
  • Monitor developments across Westminster, Whitehall and the devolved nations.
  • Support the organisation’s engagement with politicians, civil servants and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate policy issues clearly and effectively to colleagues, members and external audiences.

We’re looking for someone with experience inpolicy, public affairs, advocacy or a related environment , with strong analytical skills and excellent written communication. You will be comfortable working with complex issues, able to produce high-quality work to deadlines and have a good understanding of healthcare and current public policy issues.
