Membership Bespoke is recruiting a Commercial Executive for a leading trade association (financial services) based in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration, CRM and commercial support experience who is looking to develop their career in a varied, relationship-focused environment.
Joining a friendly and supportive team, you will help grow sponsorship, events and training revenue through research, targeted campaigns and effective sales support.
You will also have the opportunity to attend events, build relationships with members and take increasing ownership of commercial activities.
The Role
Supporting the commercial team, your responsibilities will include
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, contact information and sales and marketing lists.
- Researching prospective customers and identifying opportunities for sponsorship, event attendance and training.
- Supporting sales pipelines, tracking opportunities from initial identification through to completion.
- Helping deliver targeted marketing and lead generation campaigns, taking ownership of specific campaigns where appropriate.
- Drafting engaging emails to promote commercial products and generate interest.
- Attending events and courses to meet members, develop relationships and identify opportunities.
- Supporting member and customer sales meetings, with opportunities to lead discussions where appropriate.
- Maintaining sales trackers, pipeline reports and weekly updates.
- Analysing previous booking trends to inform future campaigns and targeting.
- Preparing sponsorship and training contracts using established templates.
- Using tools such as Linked In Sales Navigator and AI to support research, content creation and productivity.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and providing day-to-day administrative support.
- The Person
We are looking for an organised, proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and an interest in developing their commercial skills.
You will bring
- Experience supporting a sales, business development or commercial team.
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience maintaining CRM systems and managing data accurately, ideally using Microsoft Dynamics.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting marketing or persuasive emails.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- A professional and personable approach, with confidence engaging with members, customers and senior stakeholders.
- A methodical approach to research, reporting and follow-up.
- An interest in financial services and investment, with a willingness to develop your sector knowledge.
- A positive, flexible and collaborative attitude.
Experience within a trade association, professional body or membership organisation would be welcome.
