Our client, a global Trade Association, is recruiting for an Event Executive.
The Role of Event Executive
We are looking for an enthusiastic Event Executive, with proven B2B event experience in a membership or client service-led organisation, to join our team and be responsible for the delivery of Motorsport-industry focused events, throughout each year.
Reporting to our Head of Operations, and working within a small, experienced team, you will be responsible for your B2B events from inception through to delivery. This will involve you playing an essential part in the creation and origination of each event, offering your experienced suggestions from the outset, to help these take shape and be delivered successfully.
These events aim to meet the Association’s overall objective of supporting and developing our membership business community. These motorsport business events range from small, focused events to 250+ delegate conferences and an annual Motorsport trade-only show.
Experience and knowledge
- At least 3-5 years’ relevant B2B Event experience, including event sales, marketing and communications, within a commercially focused membership, or client service-led, organisation.
- Ability to work independently within a small team; being resourceful with good interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and enthusiastic – eager and capable of responding to new challenges.
- A ‘multi-tasking, problem solver’ capable of working under pressure with concurrent deliverables; taking responsibility for delivering on-time.
- A well-organised, planned approach to work with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent time-management, capable of re-prioritising and leading work to meet changing deadlines.
- Friendly but professional, with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident and friendly on phone and screen, hosting meetings, taking calls and making sales calls.
- Able to attend events, occasionally meaning early starts/late finishes, occasionally staying away.
- IT skills and experience – including use of Microsoft Office packages, databases, CRM, Social Media etc.
- Knowledge, experience or genuine interest in motorsport would be an advantage.
