My client, a reputable professional body, is looking for a Senior Policy Manager .
The purpose of this role is to maximise its influence and ensure that this professional body has a pivotal and leading role in being the voice of the profession. The Senior Policy Manager will work closely with the Directors and other senior staff to obtain and share intelligence, produce and contribute to high quality analysis and advice on the implications for the profession and business in general. The Senior Policy Manager will devise and undertake workstreams to optimise the influence the organisation has through its policy outputs, such as consultation responses, senior stakeholder engagement and other content.
Main responsibilities for the Senior Policy Manager
- Play a significant role in obtaining and calibrating intelligence relating to UK regulatory and government policy which affects the organisation and its ability to deliver its strategy.
- Lead on the production of strong analysis relating to policy position advice for the organisation and coordinate its dissemination to members and stakeholders.
- Produce high quality reports, papers and representations relating to the organisation’s policy positions for publication and for use with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships internally within and across the organisation to ensure strong coordination internally and high-quality stakeholder relationship management.
- Maintain an external network of policy relationships and calibrate engagement to optimise the organisation’s influence.
- The postholder will be expected to contribute in a collaborative way to the delivery of the organisation’s Strategic Plan and the Reputation & Influence Department’s objectives.
- Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.
