The Opportunity
Our client, an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation (tech) is looking for a talented and commercially minded (Senior) Marketing Executive to play a central role in promoting their events, growing their membership, and maximising sponsor engagement. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be responsible for delivering creative multi-channel campaigns across email, social media, web, and more. You’ll be the driving force behind the marketing activities, from crafting compelling content to tracking results, and will work closely with our Head of Experiences to shape the marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging email marketing campaigns, tailored to specific audience segments.
- Manage and grow their LinkedIn presence – posting, engaging, and running targeted campaigns.
- Support and promote their flagship events, from webinars to large conferences, ensuring maximum attendance and engagement.
- Develop strategies to recruit and retain members, and to market sponsor opportunities.
- Maintain and update the website.
- Analyse campaign performance and deliver insights to improve results.
- Produce a wide range of marketing assets, from social media graphics to printed event materials.
- Provide occasional support to the Events Manager, including on-site assistance at major events.
About You
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Proven experience in content creation, email marketing, and social media management (particularly LinkedIn).
- Confident marketing both virtual and in-person events.
- Digitally savvy – ideally with CRM/membership platform experience (YM a plus).
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Hands-on experience delivering marketing campaigns end-to-end.
- Willing and able to attend key events, including: Annual Conference (Saturday–Wednesday, late Nov/early Dec, Birmingham or elsewhere in England), Community Awards (1 day/night between Mar–Jun).
- Experience in a membership organisation (tech or professional services).
- Marketing degree or equivalent experience.
- Events management skills.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, design/photo editing, video editing, HTML/CSS, Zoom, Microsoft 365.
