Membership Relationship Manager
12-month fixed-term contract | £55,000 | Start date: 1 March
A respected financial services trade body is seeking an experienced Membership Relationship Manager to join its membership function on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
This is a high-profile, externally facing role, working closely with senior stakeholders across a diverse member base. The postholder will play a key role in delivering a structured, commercially minded membership proposition that drives engagement, retention and growth.
The role
Working as part of a collaborative membership and governance team, you will:
- Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of members, ensuring consistent engagement and clear value delivery
- Implement and refine an account management and relationship strategy aligned to commercial objectives
- Identify opportunities for enhanced member engagement through briefings, roundtables, events and thought leadership activity
- Work closely with internal policy and delivery teams to connect members to relevant insight and influence
- Support the onboarding of new members and contribute to membership growth targets
- Maintain accurate CRM records, engagement tracking and pipeline management using Microsoft Dynamics
- Produce and interpret management information and reporting, with Power BI experience highly desirable
- Contribute to forecasting, reporting and invoicing activity as required
About you
You will bring:
- Proven experience in relationship management, account management or business development within a financial services or professional services trade association (essential)
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging at senior level
- A commercial mindset, with experience contributing to revenue-generating membership or sponsorship activity
- Familiarity with membership propositions, member segmentation and engagement strategies
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI (very desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and organised approach
