12-month Fixed Term Contract | Hybrid (2–3 days a week in the office) | Start date: 2 March | £27,250 + excellent holiday allowance + benefits

This is a superb opportunity for an organised, detail-driven Events Assistant to join a respected membership organisation at the heart of a busy and varied events programme. Working closely with an experienced events team, you will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of activities including webinars, hybrid and in-person events, ceremonial occasions, dinners, receptions and high‑profile visits. The role offers genuine variety, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the chance to develop hands‑on experience across the full events lifecycle.

Duties include:

  • Assisting with the delivery of in‑person, hybrid and virtual events, including webinars and recorded content
  • Providing end‑to‑end administrative support to ensure events run smoothly
  • Coordinating logistics such as mailings, bookings, delegate processing, facilities and on‑the‑day administration
  • Producing event materials and supporting the webinar programme
  • Maintaining databases of speakers, venues and suppliers, alongside accurate financial records
  • Researching potential topics, speakers and venues for future events
  • Supporting flagship activities such as ceremonies, dinners, receptions and senior visits
  • Assisting with the organisation’s presence at national conferences
  • Responding to member and stakeholder enquiries by phone, email and online
  • Supporting the promotion of events across websites and digital channels

About you:

  • Previous experience in events administration, ideally within a professional or membership environment
  • Highly organised, methodical and detail‑focused, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior colleagues
  • Comfortable supporting live, hybrid and digital events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • IT‑literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Flexible and collaborative, with a proactive and positive approach
