A respected and well-established professional membership organisation in the engineering sector is looking to recruit an organised and proactive Academic Coordinator to join their Membership and Professional Standards team.

The Role of Academic Coordinator

Reporting to the Membership & Professional Standards Manager, you will play a key role in supporting membership services, professional registration activities and member engagement. You will coordinate membership applications, professional registration processes and member communications, whilst providing administrative support to regional volunteer groups and helping deliver an engaging programme of member webinars. The role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst delivering a first-class service to members and stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • Experience working within a membership organisation, professional body, charity, institute or customer-focused administrative environment.
  • Experience supporting membership, registrations, customer service or membership administration would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills, including CRM databases, Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident working with members, volunteers and a range of stakeholders.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • A proactive, friendly and customer-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting professional registration or accreditation processes would be advantageous but is not essential.
