My client, a leading not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to improving safety and standards across multiple sectors, is seeking a Head of Project Management to oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role of Head of Project Management
You’ll lead the successful delivery of a wide range of projects — from events and training course development to digital transformation initiatives. This is a key role ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in line with strategic priorities.
- Managing the organisation’s project portfolio
- Developing the project management strategy
- Ensuring compliance with PRINCE2®-based methods
- Supporting and guiding project managers
- Monitoring progress and mitigating risks
- Delivering improvements to processes and tools
- Leading training and selected projects directly
- Working closely with senior leadership to align delivery with organisational goals
About You
You’re an experienced project management professional with strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can motivate teams, manage risks, and drive results across multiple initiatives.
You’ll have PRINCE2® training and practical experience applying it in live project environments. Experience managing a project portfolio or holding additional qualifications such as MoP®, MSP®, or APM PMQ is an advantage. Experience in not-for-profit or membership organisations is desirable, as is familiarity with tools like Asana, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
