Interim Governance Role – Professional Membership Organisation

Our client, a respected professional membership organisation with a strong public‑interest purpose, is seeking to appoint an interim governance professional on an interim basis. The organisation operates nationally and internationally, with a clear focus on professional standards, member value and organisational accountability.

The role:

  • Provide hands‑on governance support within a complex, member‑led environment.
  • Coordinate governance committees, including agendas, papers, logistics and accurate, timely minuting.
  • Support assurance, compliance and risk oversight activities.
  • Build effective working relationships across the organisation and with committee members.
  • This interim assignment is expected to run for a minimum of four to six months, with potential extension.
  • Hybrid working, with two days per week in the office.

The person:

  • Experience within a membership body or a complex charity environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly around committee coordination and minuting.
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑moving governance function.
  • Able to step into an interim role and quickly establish credibility.
