Governance Officer – Board & Committees
£45k–£55k equivalent paid on an hourly basis
This temporary role is to start in July (minimum duration of 4-6 months expected)
A membership organisation is recruiting a highly organised Governance Officer to deliver reliable administrative support across its Board, Council and Standing Committees.
Key focus areas:
- Governance inbox management and enquiry triage.
- Board packs, first‑draft minutes and action logs.
- Council logistics and paper coordination.
- Support for elections and governance appointments.
- Standing Committee agenda and pack preparation.
- AGM notices, logistics, proxies and ballots.
- Trustee induction packs, expenses, travel and term/skills records.
- Meeting logistics, quorum checks and attendance tracking.
- Support for Code of Conduct processes.
Profile: Strong administrative skills, accurate minute‑taking, and confidence working to immovable deadlines.
