Job Description
Part-Time Finance Administrator
Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week in the Cambridge office, remaining hours worked from home
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible – spread over 5 days or 3–4 days)
Rate: £16.48 per hour plus holiday pay
Contract: Temporary until April 2026
Our client, a professional membership organisation is recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to support their team on a temporary basis until end of April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and can hit the ground running in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day financial administration support, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
- Process invoices, payments, using Xero accounting software
- Administering with financial records, reports, and reconciliations
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, including diary management and meeting preparation
- Liaise with the Finance Team, colleagues, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow
- Support membership-related financial processes (e.g., renewals, payments, and reporting)
- Maintain confidential records in line with organisational and data protection requirements
About You:
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within a finance or membership setting
- Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
- High levels of integrity, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive information
