A leading national membership organisation in the education sector is seeking an experienced senior leader for the newly created role of Director of Member Engagement. The postholder will strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders, enhance regional influence, and ensure a consistent, high-quality membership experience across England.
The Role
- Provide strategic leadership for national member engagement, ensuring a coherent, high-quality and data-informed experience for all members.
- Lead a dispersed national team, including regional directors and governance specialists, driving consistency, collaboration and shared standards.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders across a wide range of educational organisations, ensuring the membership body remains a trusted and influential partner.
- Oversee governance services and support for governance professionals, ensuring alignment with the wider membership offer.
- Strengthen regional presence and influence, including engagement with devolved authorities and key external stakeholders.
- Drive proactive insight gathering, identifying emerging issues, risks and opportunities affecting members.
- Contribute to organisational strategy and decision-making as part of the senior leadership team.
