Permanent | £45,000–£50,000 | London with hybrid working
We are working with a respected Professional Membership Organisation to recruit a CRM Manager to take operational ownership of its Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, CMS and connected business systems.
This is not a software-development role. It is an influential platform-management position for someone who can understand business needs, turn them into clear technical requirements and ensure external suppliers deliver reliable, effective solutions.
You will act as the vital link between users, data and technology—supporting colleagues, improving processes, maintaining data quality and helping the organisation gain greater value from its CRM and CMS platforms.
You will:
- Take day-to-day ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the organisation’s CMS.
- Act as the principal contact for CRM, CMS and IT suppliers.
- Translate operational requirements into clear support requests, specifications and change briefs.
- Coordinate system changes, upgrades, testing, releases and integrations with external vendors.
- Track supplier progress, challenge where necessary and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Investigate CRM, CMS and integration problems, coordinating technical resolution through the appropriate supplier.
- Maintain workflows, permissions, documentation and system best practice within the available administrative access.
- Develop reports, dashboards and management information using Power BI.
- Use read-only SQL access through the Dataverse TDS endpoint for reporting, analysis and data validation.
- Support data extraction, cleansing, reconciliation and quality improvement.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, governance and GDPR compliance.
- Provide first- and second-line support to users.
- Deliver training and create clear guidance to improve confidence and system adoption.
- Work with teams across the organisation to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
About the systems
The CRM and CMS are proprietary, vendor-managed platforms. System-level modifications are completed by the respective suppliers through support requests raised and managed internally.
The successful candidate will not be expected to undertake complex development or make unrestricted back-end changes. They will need enough technical understanding to diagnose issues, define requirements, interrogate data, test solutions and hold suppliers accountable for successful delivery.
Dynamics 365 Online data can be accessed on a read-only basis through the Dataverse TDS endpoint for reporting and analysis.
We are looking for:
- Substantial experience managing a CRM, database or business-critical platform.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Experience working with external technology suppliers or managed service providers.
- The ability to translate user needs into clear technical requirements and support requests.
- Experience coordinating system changes, testing, UAT, releases and integrations.
- Good knowledge of CRM data structures and relational databases.
- Practical SQL experience for querying, reporting and analysis; advanced development skills are not required.
- Experience producing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow-automation tools.
- Strong data-quality, governance and GDPR awareness.
- Experience supporting and training users.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, accountable approach and the confidence to work independently.
Experience within a membership organisation, professional body, charity or similarly stakeholder-led environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of CMS platforms and website integrations would also be beneficial.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CRM or Database Manager who enjoys combining systems knowledge with stakeholder engagement, supplier management and practical problem-solving. You will have genuine ownership of the platforms, visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to shape how its systems and data continue to develop.
We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
